Defending champion Mumbai Indians are yet to win their first game in the UAE leg of the tournament so far. On the other hand, Punjab Kings successfully defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad in their previous match, which has definitely boosted their confidence.

The biggest problem for Mumbai Indians is their star players - Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav, Krunal Pandya - not being able to deliver. Their batting lineup pf Mumbai Indians is considered to be one of the strongest among all the teams but IPL 2021 phase 2, all the batsmen except captain Rohit Sharma and Quinton de Kock have struggled to score runs.

Suryakumar Yadav and Ishan Kishan have only scored 16 and 34 respectively in their last three matches. Hard-hitters Pollard and Krunal Pandya have been unable to make valuable contributions with quick-fire knocks.
