New Delhi: Riding high on confidence after an emphatic win in their previous game, Eoin Morgan-led Kolkata Knight Riders will take on a depleted Mumbai Indians on Thursday in the 34th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 Phase 2. Both the teams will play their second match in the UAE leg of the tournament.
 
Mumbai Indians were defeated by Chennai Super Kings in UAE opening game. On the other hand, Kolkata literally thumped RCB by 9 wickets. Today's match is important for Mumbai as they'll aim to improve their position in IPL 2021 points table.  At the same time, Kolkata will look to maintain the winning streak.

Talking about their head-to-head record, so far, a total of 28 IPL games have been played between the two teams. Out of this, Mumbai has won 22, while KKR has won only 6 games. In the last 6 seasons, Mumbai has won 11 out of the last 12 matches played between the two sides.
 
In the IPL 14 Points Table, Kolkata Knight Riders are placed at number 6th spot while Mumbai Indians slided down to number four after loss against Chennai. So far in IPL 2021, Mumbai has won 4 out of 8 matches and KKR have won 3 out of 8 matches and have lost 5.
 
In IPL, Rohit Sharma has so far scored 982 runs against Kolkata and four times has been adjudged as the Man of the Match against the same franchise. When it comes to matches between Mumbai and Kolkata, Rohit holds the record for winning the most Man of the Match awards. After him, comes Sachin Tendulkar and Hardik Pandya in the elite list.  Both have won the Man of the Match award three times each in MI vs KKR IPL matches.
