Virat Kohli was away from action on Monday, but he found a way to keep himself busy by practicing throwdowns with head coach Rahul Dravid.
India vs Western Australia XI: The Indian cricket team, which has been training at the WACA for the past three days, began its T20 World Cup 2022 preparations by defeating a second string Western Australia by 13 runs on Monday in its first practice game in Perth. India will face the same opposition in their next practice match on October 13 in Perth before arriving in Brisbane for their two official warm-up games against England and New Zealand.
Notably, Virat, who is in superb form, was rested for Monday's warm up game as the team management wants to give young players a chance to adapt to Australia weather, pitch conditions ahead of T20 WC. The star batter was away from action on Monday, but he found a way to keep himself busy by practicing throwdowns with head coach Rahul Dravid. After India won the match against Western Australia, Virat and KL Rahul arrived on the playing field for practice. Many spectators who were about to leave the stadium decided to delay their exit so that they could watch the batting practice of the star batters.
