Man Vs Wild Host Bear Grylls Expresses Desire To Go On Adventure Trip With Legendary Indian Batter
Bear Grylls' desire to shoot an episode with Virat Kohli won't be fulfilled soon as Indian players with a central contract with the BCCI are not allowed to participate in specific sports to not get injured.
New Delhi: Popular Television show Man vs Wild host Bear Grylls has expressed his desire to go on an adventure trip with former Indian cricket team skipper Virat Kohli. Grylls' fan following in India has witnessed a tremendous spike ever since he did episodes with celebrities like Indian prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bollywood superstar Ranveer Singh. Virat, one of the most decorated sportspeople of his generation and regarded as the best better ever to walk on the face of this planet, has over 200 million followers on Instagram.
"Virat (Virat Kohli) would be amazing to adventure with—a true heart of a lion and a kind spirit," Man vs Wild host Bear Grylls said in an exclusive interview with the Hindustan Times on Sunday.
However, it looks like Bear Grylls' desire to shoot an episode with Virat Kohli won't be fulfilled soon as Indian players with a central contract with the BCCI are not allowed to participate in specific sports to not get injured.
Here's When Virat Kohli will return to team India
It was widely speculated that Virat, who was rested for India's tour of West Indies and now Zimbabwe ODIs, would return to Indian squad for Zimbabwe tour. According to news agency PTI, the former Indian skipper will make his comeback to national team in next month's Asia Cup.
"Virat had spoken to selectors that he would be available from the Asia Cup onwards. The first team players will hardly get rest from Asia Cup till end of World T20. Hence this is a two-week window after the Windies tour when they can rest," a source told PTI.
Virat Kohli has not scored a century in any format since November 2019. Since then his form has seen a decline, which continued till July 2022. Now Virat will return to action in the Asia Cup 2022, set to be played in late August in United Aram Emirates (UAE).
