New Delhi: Indian cricket team is currently touring the West Indies for a white-ball series. Senior opener Shikhar Dhawan is currently captaining India's ODI team in absence of Rohit Sharma who has been given a much-needed break. Rohit is currently holidaying with his family in the United Kingdom (UK). BCCI's new policy allows cricketers' families to travel with them. Rohit's wife Ritika was in the UK during India's tour of England. The MI legend recently shared a beautiful picture with his wife on social media. Rohit Sharma, after missing the one-off rescheduled Test against England in Brimingham, returned to captain the national squad in white-ball series. Under Rohit's captaincy, India won the ODI series 2-1 and T20I series 2-1. The senior opener has a very good record in international cricket. He has scored 9376 runs in 233 ODIs and 3379 runs in 128 T20 International matches.

Rohit Sharma and many other senior players like Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah, and Rishabh Pant have been rested for the ongoing Windies tour. After this, India will play against Zimbabwe and again these first-choice players are expected to miss this tour. A full-fledged Indian team with regular players will feature in Asia Cup 2022. The previous edition of Asia Cup was won by team India under Rohit's captaincy. The tournament was played in ODI format.
