BCCI Announces Revised Schedule For Home Series Against Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka will play the first T20I against India in Lucknow while the remaining two T20Is will be hosted in Dharamsala.

New Delhi: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Tuesday announced a revised schedule for Sri Lanka's tour of India. As per the changes announced by the apex cricket board in India, Sri Lanka will play a three-match T20 International series against the Men in Blue, followed by a two-match Test series, which will be part of the ICC World Test Championship, 2021-23. This will be India's first limited-overs series against Sri Lanka since July of 2021. 

Sri Lanka will play the first T20I against India in Lucknow's Ekana Stadium while the remaining two T20Is will be hosted in Dharamsala. The first Test between India and Sri Lanka will be played in Mohali from March 4th to 8th and the 2nd Test will take place in Bengaluru, from March 12th to 16th.

"The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) today announced a change in schedule for the upcoming Paytm Sri Lanka Tour of India. Sri Lanka will first play the T20I series comprising three matches followed by a two-match Test series, which will be a part of the ICC World Test Championship, 2021-23. Lucknow will now host the first T20I while the next two will be played in Dharamsala," a statement released by the BCCI said.

"The first Test will now be held in Mohali from March 4th to 8th and the second Test will be played from March 12th to 16th in Bengaluru," the statement further added.

Ind vs SL 1st T20I - February 24,  Lucknow

Ind vs SL 2nd T20I - February 26, Dharamsala

Ind vs SL 1st Test - March 4 to 8, Mohali

Ind vs SL 2nd Test - March 12 to 16, Bengaluru
