Pakistan's Shaheen Afridi Picks Three Indian Batters For His Dream Hat-Trick

Even after winning ICC Men's Best Cricketer of the Year award, Afridi said his most memorable performance was against India in 2021, when he dismissed KL Rahul & Rohit to lay foundation for Pak's win.

New Delhi: For any Pakistani cricketer, performing against the mighty Indian cricket team is a career goal. Star pace bowler Shaheen Afridi has spoken candidly about the three Indian batters that should be included in his dream hat-trick. The left-arm sensational seamer picked the Indian batting trio of KL Rahul, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli as the "hat-trick of his dreams".

“Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, and Virat Kohli,” said Afridi on a show hosted by ESPNCricinfo.

Shaheen also said he considers his fiery spell against team India in the T20 World Cup 2021, a special one. Not only this, he also said that performing against the Indian cricket team was his career's highlight in the year 2021.

“I had many good performances, including five-fors in Tests but my most memorable performance was during our victory against India. It was a historical match and matches with India draw a big audience. Performing against India was a highlight for me in 2021. It was a great year for me and hopefully, you will see good performances in 2022 too,” said Shaheen Afridi as quoted by News18.

Pakistan's clinical win over India in the T20 World Cup 2021 match was their first-ever and biggest win against the Men in Blue in an ICC World Cup match. Pakistan defeated India by 10 wickets to attain their maiden World Cup win over them.

Even after winning the ICC Men's Best Cricketer of the Year award, Afridi had said that his most memorable performance was against India in 2021, when he dismissed KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma cheaply to lay the foundation for Pakistan's victory.
