Ind vs NZ: Virat Kohli Set To Return, Check India's Predicted Playing XI For Mumbai Test

Senior batters Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara have been battling poor form for long time and it is possible that one of these two senior batters may be benched for Ind vs NZ Mumbai Test.

New Delhi: India vs New Zealand 1st Test at Kanpur's Green Park stadium ended in a draw. The second and last match of the two-match Ind vs NZ Test series will be played in Mumbai from December 3.

Considering the workload, Team India's regular captain, Virat Kohli was rested for the Kanpur Test. He will most probably not only make a comeback but will also lead the national squad in the Mumbai Test.

After the arrival of Kohli, who will be dropped from Team India, is undoubtedly one of most interesting questions fans want to get answered as soon as possible.

Team India's two most experienced batters Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara have been battling poor form for a long time and it is very much possible that one of these two senior batters may be benched for Ind vs NZ Mumbai Test.

If Ajinkya Rahane is dropped from India's playing 11 for Mumbai Test, then team's top-order will most probably be something like this: Shubman Gill, Mayank Agarwal, Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, Ravindra Jadeja.

However, there is suspense on Mayank Agarwal's place in the team as well, as he was a flop in both the innings of the Kanpur Test. If Mayank Agarwal is dropped, then maybe Pujara will be asked to open the innings with Gill and Rahane will bat in the middle order.

If Virat Kohli decides to go ahead with Mayank Agarwal, then Team India's playing XI for the Mumbai Test will most likely be like this: Shubman Gill, Mayank Agarwal, Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, Ravindra Jadeja, Saha, Ashwin, Axar Patel, Mohammad Siraj and Umesh Yadav.
