England Series Selection: Virat Kohli, Ishant Sharma Set To Return For First Two Tests Against England
The Indian team is scheduled to play the first Test with England in Chennai from 5 to 9 February and the second Test in Chennai as well from 13 to 17 February. The England team is currently on a tour of Sri Lanka and will leave for Chennai on 27 January.
The countdown for the India-England home series will begin right after the Border-Gavaskar Trophy ends. Soon after the end of India's tour of Australia, England's tour of India will begin where the visitors will have to play ODI and T20 matches besides the 4-match Test series.
BCCI's Senior National Selection Committee, headed by Chetan Sharma, will select the Indian team on January 19 for the first two Test matches of the four-Test series against England.

Team India is currently on a tour of Australia. The selection committee will announce the team after a virtual meeting at 5 pm on Tuesday evening. During this, captain Virat Kohli will also be present. Apart from Chetan, Sunil Joshi, Debashish Mohanty, Harvinder Singh and Abe Kuruvilla will also be present in the selection committee.
India's tour of Australia is about to end. It is expected that by then the experienced and main players of team India will recover from injury. According to information received by ABP News, skipper Virat Kohli, fast bowler Ishant Sharma and off-spinner R Ashwin will be back in the team. Despite great performance in Australia, T Natarajan and Shardul Thakur will not get a place in the team.
Four spinners, including Kuldeep Yadav, Shahbaz Nadeem, R Ashwin and Washington Sundar, will be included in the Indian squad for the first two Tests against England.
