Harmanpret Kaur-led India finished their CWG 2022 campaign with a silver medal win in the Cricket T20 event.
Batting first, Australia scored 161/8 in the final played at Edgbaston ground on Sunday. In reply, the Indian team could only score 152 runs in 19.3 overs. India lost the gold medal match by just 9 runs.

Just when it seemed India would easily chase the target, they came under pressure due to losing quick wickets. India had to score 17 runs in the last two overs with four wickets remaining to win the gold medal, but the team could only score 152 runs in 19.3 overs. Australia took the last five Indian wickets within 13 runs. Spinner Ashleigh Gardner was the pick of Australian bowlers, taking 3 wickets for 16 runs.
