R Ashwin Reveals Interesting Chat With Person On Flight After Ind-Aus Delhi Test

Senior Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin revealed how a guy on the flight wasn't happy about first two Tests between India and Australia ending in just three days.

The third match of the four-match Border-Gavaskar Trophy between India and Australia will be played at the Holkar Stadium in Indore from Friday, March 1 onwards. India leads the series 2-0 after winning the first two Tests, both within first three days. Rohit Sharma & Co. will enter the final of the World Test Championship by winning IND-AUS Indore Test. Veteran off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin and all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja played key roles in India's win.

In IND vs AUS 2nd Test in Delhi, Ashwin bagged a total of six wickets across the two innings. Meanwhile, the senior spinner made a big disclosure on his YouTube channel as he revealed how a guy on the flight wasn't happy about first two Tests ending in just three days, while also revealing his reply.

"One of the guys who traveled with me on the flight was like, ‘Why did you guys finish the Test match in just three days? I feel bad’. I replied, ‘Sir, two things have changed. One is the mentality of the cricketers. They wanna play fast-paced these days. They wanna score runs quickly’," said Ashwin on his Youtube channel.

"Cricketers these days don’t wanna take time and then score runs. But just because of that, we should not compare both approaches and judge who is better. We should never compare across generations. Secondly, both of these games shouldn’t have ended in 3 days," he added.

The ICC recently released Men's Test Player Rankings which saw Ashwin and Jadeja making big gains.

Ashwin moved up one place in the Test Player Rankings to move to second place, while Ravindra Jadeja, after taking 10 wickets in the second Test in Delhi, reached the ninth position in the ICC rankings. The all-rounder entered the top 10 for the first time since September 2019.
