Live Score India vs Zimbabwe 3rd ODI: India beat Zimbabwe by 10 wickets to sweep ODI series

LIVE SCORE | INDIA vs ZIMBABWE | 3RD ODI | HARARE

FULL SCORECARD

KL Rahul is the Player of the Match and the Man of the series. I always knew I had the game to do well in every format. It was just a matter of time. The last couple of months have been really good. To come out here and perform the way I have is really pleasing. Credit to our bowlers for make our job easy. I knew I could go out there, take my time and play proper cricketing shots. It was a challenge for me to remain calm and play my natural game. I'm not thinking about West Indies yet. What's on my mind right now is to switch to the T20 format.

I think the execution has been really good, and that's the key factor. The fast bowlers and the spinners took wickets and put pressure, so I'm happy with the bowling performance. I don't mind winning games easily, that's what you are supposed to do. Yes, it would have been nice if a few of the other batsmen would have had a break. I think after a long time, I will take some time off cricket after this series (T20Is). Don't think my daughter still recognises me. Indian captain MS Dhoni
We didn't see through the new ball to put up 260-270 which we thought was par. We got stuck in middle period, and then lost grip. We just couldn't rotate strike, and that put pressure on our batsmen. We have a T20I squad, and we know we can challenge good teams on our day. We'll have to pick ourselves up to try and compete in that series. Zimbabwe captain Graeme Cremer
India Innings   21.5 overs: India beat Zimbabwe by 10 wickets in 3rd match to sweep ODI series.
20.1 overs: Maiden ODI FIFTY for Faiz Fazal on debut. Controlled knock studded with some elegant strokes. He took 58 balls and hit six FOURS and one SIX.
20 overs: India are on very close to winning the 3rd ODI and whitewashing Zimbabwe at their home. India 109/0 (15 runs required from 30 overs).   18.1 overs: FIFTY up for Rahul in just 58 balls.   15 overs: Can Rahul and Fazal give India a 10-wicket win? It would be a re-confirmation of India's dominance in the series. India 71/0 (53 runs required from 35 overs). Rahul 36 (46b 4x4 0x6), Fazal 28 (44b 3x4 0x6).   13 overs: Rahul has finally started to express himself. He hit Mupariwa for three consecutive FOURs in the over. India 60/0 (64 runs required from 37 overs). Rahul 29 (39b 4x4 0x6), Fazal 24 (39b 3x4 0x6).   10 overs: Indian openers are batting comfortably and looked set to take India past the target. Of the two, Fazal is more positive his stroke-making. Out of four FOURS in the innings so far, three have come from Fazal's bat. India 43/0 (81 runs required from 40 overs).   We are back on the field after lunch.   4:05 PM: That's lunch. India openers have provided a safe start.   7 overs: Cautiously, Rahul and Fazal have taken India safely past the close-to half-hour slot before the teams went out for lunch. India 23/0 (101 runs required from 43 overs). Fazal 11 (21b 1x4 0x6), Rahul 8 (21b 0x4 0x6), Tiripano 4-1-11-0, Madziva 3-0-12-0.   5 overs: Indian openers KL Rahul and debutant Faiz Fazal have started this small chase very cautiously. That is probably because of the lunch factor that will be happening anytime soon. India 14/0 (110 runs required from 45 overs). Fazal 6 (13b 0x4 0x6), Rahul 5 (17b 0x4 0x6), Tiripano 3-1-9-0, Madziva 2-0-5-0.   India will have to bat for at least five or six overs before the lunch. It will be tricky little session for debutant Faiz Fazal. No experimentation at the top of the order at least as KL Rahul walks out with him. Rahul on strike. Two slips in place for him. Donal Tiripano has the ball.   Zimbabwe Innings   India dismiss Zimbabwe for 123 runs.
42.2 overs: OUT! Excellent athleticism by Kulkarni to run out Tiripano. Donald Tiripano run out 2 (16b 0x4 0x6).
40 overs: Once again Zimbabwe looked like not getting to 150 for the second match in a row in this series. Such a dominating performance by Indian bowlers. Zimbabwe 117/9.   36.4 overs: OUT! Bumrah gets another wicket. Outside edge again and Mupariwa gone. This time, it's Pandey at second slip. Tawanda Mupariwa c Pandey b Bumrah 1 (9b 0x4 0x6).   34.3 overs: OUT! Bumrah missed hat-trick but he got his third wicket. Another beautiful delivery sent Mutumbami back to pavilion. Richmond Mutumbami c Rahul b Bumrah 4 (3b 1x4 0x6).   33.2 overs: OUT! What's happening here? Zimbabwe have lost four wickets in four balls. Literally a Hara-kiri by Zimbabweans. Axar Patel also has a wicket now. Cremer is caught on the crease as he prods outside the line of the delivery that skids on to hit the pad. Greame Cremer lbw b Patel 0 (1b 0x4 0x6).   33.1 overs: OUT! If bowler can't get you out, you gets run out. Zimbabwe are on a free-fall. Waller took off for a single as soon as he hit it to cover, but his partner was not ready. Malcolm Waller run out 8 (15b 0x4 0x6).
32.6 overs: OUT! Two on two for Bumrah. Chigumbura edges the full delivery to MS Dhoni, who completed his 350th dismissal. Chigumbura is out for another duck, his poor run of form continues. Elton Chigumbura c †Dhoni b Bumrah 0 (1b 0x4 0x6).
32.5 overs: OUT! Bumrah gets his first wicket. Maruma is bowled out by a beauty of a delivery. Timycen Maruma b Bumrah 17 (29b 1x4 0x6).
28.4 overs: OUT! Chahal gets another wicket. This time he didn't need anybody's help. Sibanda closed the face too early and paid the price. Chahal took an easy catch off his own bowling. Vusi Sibanda c & b Chahal 38 (71b 2x4 1x6).   25 overs: Sibanda once again has the responsibility to revive Zimbabwe's innings. Zimbabwe 68/2. Maruma 7 (13b 1x4 0x6), Sibanda 20 (54b 1x4 0x6), Chahal 4-0-13-1, Patel 6-1-10-0.   20.1 overs: OUT! Chahal strikes. Chibhabha tried to go for big shot for the first time in his innings and he holed out to Bumrah at long-off. Chamu Chibhabha c Bumrah b Chahal 27 (66b 3x4 0x6).   20 overs: Sibanda and Chibhabha are batting well so far. Not scoring runs at a fast pace but they have managed to keep their scoreboard ticking. Zimbabwe 55/1. Sibanda 14 (38b 1x4 0x6), Chibhabha 27 (65b 3x4 0x6), Patel 4-0-8-0, Chahal 1-0-2-0.   15 overs: Zimbabwe have had the best start of the series in this match. They have lost just 1 wicket in the first 15 overs. It's a bit too late to have any effect on the ODI series but good for the upcoming T20 series. Zimbabwe 44/1. Sibanda 9 (24b 1x4 0x6), Chibhabha 21 (49b 3x4 0x6), Bumrah 3-0-6-0, Patel 1-0-2-0.   10 overs: Maiden over by Kulkarni. First one in this match. Zimbabwe 32/1.   9 overs: Zimbabwe batsmen are a lot more positive today. They are playing shots. 7 runs from Sran's over with a FOUR by Chibhabha. Zimbabwe 32/1.   8 overs: Again Kulkarni gave a FOUR in the over.  It was an excellent shot by Sibanda, though. 4 runs from the over. Zimbabwe 25/1.   7 overs: Chahal dropped a simple catch in the over. But it was made difficult by the sun. He tried his best but the ball slipped through his fingers. Life for Sibanda. 2 runs from Sran's over.  Zimbabwe 21/1.   6 overs: Successful over by Kulkarni. Just 1 run and a wicket for him too. Zimbabwe 19/1.   5.3 overs: OUT! Kulkarni provides the breakthrough, removes Masakadza after a positive start by Zimbabwe. Hamilton Masakadza c Rahul b Kulkarni 8 (18b 1x4 0x6).   5 overs: Sran makes a good comeback after an expensive over. Just 1 run from it, that too from an outside edge.  Zimbabwe 18/0.   4 overs: Just a FOUR in Kulkarni's over by Chibhabha. Apart from that Kulkarni kept Zimbabwe openers silent. Zimbabwe 17/0.   3 overs: Sran was taken to task by Masakadza. Hit him for a FOUR to get 8 runs from the over. Zimbabwe 13/0.   2 overs: Chibhabha crunched an excellent cover drive off Dhawal Kulkarni in the over for the first FOUR of this match. 5 runs from it. Zimbabwe 5/0.   1 over: Excellent over by Sran. Just 1 run from it. Sran has swung the ball really well throughout this series. Zimbabwe 1/0.   Hamilton Masakadza and Chamu Chibhabha are the openers again for Zimbabwe. Barinder Sran to bowl the first over.   PLAYING XIs Zimbabwe: H Masakadza, CJ Chibhabha, V Sibanda, T Maruma, MN Waller, E Chigumbura, R Mutumbami, AG Cremer, N Madziva, T Mupariwa, DT Tiripano. India: KL Rahul, FY Fazal, MK Pandey, AT Rayudu, KM Jadhav, MS Dhoni, AR Patel, DS Kulkarni, JJ Bumrah, BB Sran, YS Chahal.   On the other hand, Zimbabwe have made a number of changes. Malcolm Waller, Timycen Maruma, Tawanda Mupariwa, Nevill Madziva and Donald Tiripano get an opportunity.   There is only one change in the Indian team. But WHY?? They have series in their pocket. Why couldn't they give everyone a chance to play for India?   TOSS: Zimbabwe won the toss and opted to bat first against India in the 3rd ODI.   As promised by MS Dhoni, there will be changes in the India's playing XI today. The first one to get a chance is Faiz Fazal. He replaces Karun Nair in the side. He is a left-handed opener. Plays for Maharashtra in Ranji Trophy. That means KL Rahul will have a new opening partner today.     SQUADS India: Mahendra Singh Dhoni (captain and wk), KL Rahul, Faiz Fazal, Manish Pandey, Karun Nair, Ambati Rayudu, Kedar Jadhav, Mandeep Singh, Rishi Dhawan, Jasprit Bumrah, Jayant Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Jaydev Unadkat, Dhawal Kulkarni, Ax
