Background

New Delhi: Team India's hopes of qualifying for the semifinals were shattered after New Zealand crushed Afghanistan on Sunday. Now, India's match against Namibia will be just a formality and under Virat Kohli's captaincy, the Men in Blue will aim to end the tournament with a big win. Captain Kohli might tonight test his bench strength against Namibia by giving rest to some senior players.  On the other hand, Namibia will enter the field with the intention to give a tough competition to India.

Team India faced defeats against Pakistan and New Zealand in their first two matches of the tournament. After this, the team made a strong comeback against Afghanistan and Scotland with resounding wins. But, its was too as India's fate of making it to the semi-finals lied in Afghanistan's hand. 

Namibia has faced defeat in all the matches played in the Super 12 stage so far, will try their level best team to give a tough fight to heavyweights India. Skipper Kohli will most probably will test his bench strength in this match. Young players like Ishan Kishan, Rahul Chahar might get a chance in the playing XI against Namibia.
