Ind v Eng: Barmy Army Sings 'Cheerio Virat' To Taunt India Skipper Post Dismissal - Watch Video

England's Barmy Army has shared a video in which fans were seen singing 'Cheerio Virat', which means goodbye, as the Indian captain walked back to the pavilion post his dismissal.

New Delhi: It's been fifty innings since team India's skipper Virat Kohli scored a century in international cricket. Virat's poor batting form continues to haunt him. His dry run in cricket goes on as he scored just seven runs before he was caught behind by wicketkeeper Jos Buttler off veteran speedster James Anderson's stunning out-swinging delivery in the first innings of the third Test at Leeds. This was for the 7th time in Test cricket, when Virat Kohli was dismissed in Test cricket by Anderson.

As soon as James Anderson bagged the prized wicket of Virat Kohli, happiness was clearly visible on his face, as well as all the fans of England cricket team, present in the stadium. The official Twitter handle of England's Barmy Army has shared a video in which fans were seen singing 'Cheerio Virat', which means goodbye, as the Indian skipper walked back to the pavilion post his dismissal. The video has gone viral on social media.

In the first innings of the India vs England 1st Test, Virat Kohli was dismissed for a golden duck by Anderson. After this, in the Ind vs Eng 2nd Test, the star batsman played an innings of 42 and 20 runs in both innings. Since November 2019, Virat has not yet scored a single international century.

At Lunch on Day 1 of India vs England 3rd Test, India had managed to score 56 runs after losing four top-order batsmen. The wickets of KL Rahul (0), Cheteshwar Pujara (1) and Virat Kohli (7) were picked by G.O.A.T James Anderson.

India had lost these three wickets for 21 runs, after which Test specialist Ajinkya Rahane was dismissed for 18 runs by Ollie Robinson just before the lunch break.  Rohit Sharma, along with Rishabh Pant will aim to rebuild India's innings.
