The online booking for the marquee event started at 1300hrs (IST) on Thursday, 24th November, 2022 - the day that marks 50-day countdown milestone.
Hockey fans all over the world now have an opportunity to book their seats for enthralling hockey action in Odisha between 13th January 2023 to 29th January 2023. Hockey World Cup 2023 will witness 16 top teams vie for the prestigious trophy across state-of-the-art stadiums in Rourkela and Bhubaneswar. Notably, former International players and Hockey Olympians will be issued complimentary tickets to witness the mega event.
The tournament's opening day on January 13 will be hosted at Birsa Munda Stadium. The newly-built venue will officially host its first-ever hockey match on this day which will see England take on Wales in a mouth-watering clash. The match will be followed by India locking horns against Spain in their campaign opener.
