Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has declared his intentions to end his managerial career at Real Madrid. The legendary manager has won UEFA Champions League titles with AC Milan and Real Madrid and will be aiming to win his 5th European title (3rd with Real Madrid) with the Los Blancos set to face Borussia Dortmund in the UEFA Champions League 2023/24 final.

“I will retire as Real Madrid manager but first I want another Champions League. My career will finish at Real Madrid. As long as Real Madrid want me to stay, I will be here available for the club,” told Carlo Ancelotti to Repubblica.

 

Real Madrid's Impeccable 2023/24 Season

Real Madrid are enjoying a splendid season under the Italian manager, as they have already secured their record-extending 36th La Liga title, and will be aiming to win their record-extending 15th European title. Los Blancos endured a dismal 2022/23 season where they conceded the title to fierce rivals — FC Barcelona, and were eliminated from the UEFA Champions League by Manchester City, and in the process, got dethroned by Pep Guardiola's men as Kings of Europe. 

 

Manchester City then went to win their first ever European title but Real Madrid have bounced back this season in SOME style. They have displaced FC Barcelona as the reigning champions of Spain, and eliminated reigning European champions Manchester City in the quarter finals of the UEFA Champions League 2023/24 to bring an end to their title defence.

 

The addition of Jude Bellingham has certainly been the defining point for them this season, as the English attacking midfielder is merely 20 years old, but has shown signs of extreme maturity and nerves of steel when it mattered the most, as he became their highest goalscorer in league this season.
