D Gukesh Prize Money At FIDE Chess Candidates Tournament 2024: Even though the place and the date is not yet final but what is final is the fact that D Gukesh will have a chance of becoming the yougest-ever Grandmaster World champion in the sport of chess. Gukesh has already scripted history by becoming the youngest to win the FIDE Chess Candidates tourmament 2024 already and now if he becomes a World Champion it will be a record in itself already. 

When Russia's Garry Kasparov had become the world champion, he was all but 22 years, 6 months and 27 days old. That remains the record for the youngest world champion in chess. That means, whenever China's Ding Liren and Gukesh go head-to-head this year, the 17-year-old will have the chance of smashing a world record and making the country proud yet again.

How Much Prize Money Did D Gukesh Receive At FIDE Chess Candidates Tournament 2024?

While Gukesh scripted history, there was a good reward waiting for him at the end of the competition. While the total cash prize given in this competition was 5 lakh Euros, Gukesh received a prize money of 88,500 Euro which comes down to 78.5 lakh Indian National Rupee.

Soon after Gukesh left the venue after winning the competition, he was mobbed by fans who all wanted to get a piece of the new superstar in the world of chess who looks set to achieve bigger heights in the coming years. Gukesh's social media was flooded with congratulatory messages soon after his historic triumph. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also took to X to share a message for the youngster.
