Roger Federer's Iconic Career In A Nutshell

Roger Federer is one of the most beloved sportperson around the globe and the Swiss maestro has always produced impeccable and outrageous moments during his illustrious and trophy-laden career. The Tennis legend has won 20 Grand Slams, which are divided as following:

  • 8 Wimbledon titles
  • 6 Australian Open titles
  • 5 US Open titles
  • 1 French Open title

The Swiss legend is third on all-time Grand Slam winners list, behind fellow modern greats, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic, as the former has 22 Grand Slams, and the latter is the all-time leading player in Men's tennis with 24 Grand Slams. Many people regard this era of Tennis as the greatest ever era of the sport, as it produced the ultimate three horsemen of the sport, who are arguably, in their own league, fighting among themselves for the title of 'Greatest amongst the greats'.

Roger Federer has also appeared in 31 Grand Slam finals, and probably had the toughest and best match of his entire career in his last ever Grand Slam final appearance, which was the Wimbledon 2019, against Serbain legend, Novak Djokovic. In the fifth set, Roger Federer was on match point, but what later happened was truly remarkable and many experts regard it as one of the most iconic moments in Tennis history, as 'Djoker' came from match point down, to clinch the title in tiebreaker, thereby, winning one of the greatest matches of modern era.
