'You'll be legend one day': Dhawan gifts his bat to Prithvi Shaw with special message

A photo is doing rounds on social media where the message from Dhawan could be seen on the bat held by Prithvi.

Prithvi Shaw is one of the cricketers who have shown their batting prowess at a very young age. After gaining limelight during his school days, he led the India U-19 to win the World Cup in 2018. Later, he made a grand entry into India’s Test outfit and solved the opening riddle for skipper Virat Kohli with his red-hot form. He was unfortunate to showcase his talent on the Australian soil but came back strong in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2019. Playing for Delhi Capitals (DC), he opened the innings with Shikhar Dhawan and scored 353 runs in 16 matches, including a scintillating 99 against Kolkata Knight Riders. Impressed by his phenomenal batting skills, his DC opening partner gifted him a bat with a message written on it that read, “To Prithvi, you will be a legend one day”. A photo is doing rounds on social media where the message from Dhawan could be seen on the bat held by Prithvi. Here’s the post: DC had a phenomenal outing in IPL 2019. They entered the playoffs after a long gap of 7 years but unfortunately, were knocked out in the hands of Chennai Super Kings in the 2nd Qualifier at Vizag.
