Yes, I was sad but now moved on: Dhawan on Test omission

Back amongst runs following a prolonged bad patch, Shikhar Dhawan has "moved on" after initially feeling sad about his omission from the Indian Test team for the Australia series.

Star Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan recently got back to a sublime form which he has been missing for quite a long time. He ended the 3-match T20I series against Australia on a high, scoring 117 runs in 2 games, and grabbed the Player of the Series award. However, his absence in the upcoming Test series still remains the sad part of the story.

His dismal performance on the English soil showed him the door but the way he is back amongst runs has calmed down his mind. Gabbar of Indian cricket team has stated that he has moved on from the sadness of getting dropped for the series.

“Yes, I was a bit sad but I have moved on and I am in a good frame of mind. I am in a happy positive mood. I am enjoying my game. I have got a bit off time and I am going to enjoy my training and get myself, fitter. I am happy and once I am happy things go well for me," Dhawan said.

It’s a fact that after a long time he has been dropped from a Test series after a long span of time but he believes that the Kohli army will come out with flying colours in Australia.

“I think we have got a very good chance to win the series here. We have to play good complete cricket in all three departments whether it's batting, bowling or fielding and also catching. We have to be consistent and then we will have a good chance of beating Australia," said Dhawan.

India begin their Test campaign against Australia from December 6 in Adelaide. The second match will be played at the Perth stadium while the third and the fourth Tests are scheduled to be played at the MCG and SCG respectively.
