WPL 2024: Updated Points Table, Highest Run Scorers, Wicket Takers After DC vs MI Match

Delhi Capitals (DC) claimed a 29-run victory over Mumbai Indians (MI) in the 12th match of the Women's Premier League 2024, held at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Tuesday, March 5th. In their inaugural WPL 2024 match in front of their home crowd, the Delhi Capitals posted a total of 192 runs in their allotted 20 overs. In response, the Mumbai Indians could only manage to reach 163/8, resulting in their second defeat of the season.

With this victory, Delhi Capitals have accumulated eight points in the WPL 2024 points table. Having secured four wins out of five matches, DC are in a strong position. Achieving two more victories would likely secure DC a spot in the next round of the competition.

Following the 29-run loss to DC, MI have slipped from the second to the third position in the WPL 2024 points table. MI now hold six points after playing five matches. Their net run rate has decreased from +0.402 to +0.018 following the defeat against DC.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have ascended to the second spot in the standings. With six points, RCB share the same point tally as Mumbai Indians, but their superior net run rate of +0.242 positions them ahead of MI in the rankings.

UP Warriorz (UPW) are placed fourth with two wins in five matches and Gujarat Giants (GG) are enduring a dismal season as they are winless in their four matches so far in the WPL 2024.
