WATCH: Prithvi Shaw brutally slams Siraj for 6,6,4 to get fifty in Vijay Hazare semis
He slammed two back to back massive sixes to Mohammed Siraj which came into the picture after an exchange of few words between them in the first three balls of the 9th over
India’s teenage batting sensation Prithvi Shaw showcased a brilliant piece of batting in the recently concluded Test series against West Indies. After amassing 237 runs in 3 innings and grabbing his maiden Man of Series in international cricket, Shaw continued his sublime form in the Vijay Hazare trophy as well.
On Wednesday, Prithvi played a crucial part in Mumbai’s 60-run victory against Hyderabad. In reply to Hyderabad’s 246, he opened the innings with Rohit Sharma and ended up scoring 61 of 44 balls. He slammed two back to back massive sixes to Mohammed Siraj which came into the picture after an exchange of few words between them in the first three balls of the 9th over.
The fourth ball was a bouncer which was guided by Shaw over the third man region for a six. Trying to do something different, Siraj bowled the next ball short of the length into the body but the 18-year-old played it over the fine-leg for another six.
Failing to make a comeback in the over, Siraj bowled a half-volley on the last delivery to which Shaw smashed a four to bring up his half-century.
