WATCH: Mohammad Amir Loses His Cool At Teammate Tayyab Tahir In PSL Match
Mohammad Amir was not impressed at all and lost his cool in the penultimate over of the match.
Sports can be cruel at times. It can break hearts. For all the positives of sports, athletes can easily get swayed away in the heat of the moment amid all the drama of a live sporting encounter. One such incident happened with left-arm speedster Mohammad Amir during the PSL 2023 match between Karachi Kings and Quetta Gladiators.
Defending 164/6, the Karachi Kings speedster had come to bowl the penultimate over of the match with Quetta Gladiators needing 19 runs off 12 deliveries. In such a pressure situation, each run counts since there were not many left to play with. However, on the fifth ball of this over, Sarfaraz Ahmed the batter tried to flat blat a shortish delivery towards mid-off but fielder Tayyab Tahir allowed the batters to come back for two.
The bowler was not impressed at all and lost his cool. He shouted at the fielder whose effort could have been much better on that particular delivery. A video of Amir's animated reaction has also surfaced on social media.

Talking about the match, Quetta Gladiators ended up winning the contest with a ball to spare. Martin Guptill played a gem of an innings for the winning side as he remained unbeaten on 86 off 56 balls but a superb little cameo from Dwaine Pretorius who scored 10 off 3, also scoring a boundary to finish off the game was crucial in Gladiators' winning the game.
For Karachi, Tabraiz Shamsi scalped 2 for 20 after Adam Rossington's 69 off 45 had propelled to a fighting score but it wasn't enough on the day with Guptill's knock helping Gladiators win by 4 wickets. Aimal Khan (2/26) and Mohammad Nawaz (1/22) also played crucial roles in this victory for the Sarfaraz Ahmed-led side.
This was only the second win for Quetta Gladiators in eight matches while the 7th defeat for Karachi in 9 matches.
