WATCH | 'It's Between You And...': Rohit Sharma's Heartwarming Gesture After Getting Greeting Card from Young Fan

On the eve of IND vs WI 2nd Test, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) posted a video of former India captain Kohli posing for a few photos and signing autographs.

The second and last Test of the two-match India vs West Indies Test series will be played On Thursday (20th July) in Trinidad. Though team India are 1-0 ahead in the series, they have been putting in a lot of effort in the nets to win the series 2-0 before turning their attention to the white-ball matches. In the series opener in Dominica, Rohit Sharma & Co. destroyed the hosts by an innings and 141 runs. They now aim to repeat that feat in the second Test, which will also be the 100th meeting between the two teams in the longest version of the game.

On the eve of IND vs WI 2nd Test, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) posted a video of former India captain Kohli posing for a few photos and signing autographs. In the meantime, Rohit ran into a supporter who had already taken a snapshot with the Indian captain. Rohit recalled the incident and remarked: “That’s from 2019. Too much beard.”

The young fan gifted greeting cards to both Kohli and Sharma. Appreciating his efforts the latter opened the card and said: “Ah Nice… I’m looking inside, not showing it to anyone. It’s between you and me.”

“Smiles, selfies, autographs in plenty for lucky #TeamIndia fans in Trinidad,” the BCCI captioned its post on Twitter.

Prior to the second Test match against West Indies in Trinidad, team India members had a meeting with legendary batsman Brian Lara. Rahul Dravid, the head coach, and top players including Virat Kohli, Rohit, Mohammed Siraj, and Ravindra Jadeja warmly greeted Lara and shook his hand in a video that the BCCI shared on social media.

“When in Trinidad, you do not miss catching up with the legendary Brian Lara,” the BCCI captioned the video.

As Rohit Sharma has high expectations for the rookie wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan, India are predicted to select the same XI. Rohit told reporters: “We need to give (him) opportunities. He’s a left-handed batter and likes to play a lot of aggressive cricket.”
