WATCH: A Flying Catch and The Juggling Act; Wriddhiman Saha At His Wicketkeeping Best
Saha has always made the art of keeping wickets look interesting and on Sunday, his athletic act left the world stunned once again
Indian stumper Wriddhiman Saha couldn’t have proven his worth better than he did on the fourth day of the second Test against South Africa in Pune. The 34-year-old has always made the art of keeping wickets look interesting and on Sunday, his athletic act left the world stunned once again.
Saha grabbed all the eyeballs as he dived in the air to take a spectacular catch which ended the innings of Proteas batsman Theunis de Bruyn. The incident happened in the 6th over when Umesh Yadav bowled a lousy length delivery, slipping it down the leg side.
Bruyn further flicked it behind the stumps and Saha launched himself in the air and took a jaw-dropping one-handed catch.
Here’s the video:
Soon after Saha’s efforts were appreciated by the entire team, the wicketkeeper pulled an amazing juggling act to get rid of South African skipper Faf du Plessis. He did it off Ashwin’s delivery in the 24th over. The ball dipped, then turned, took the slightest of edges on the inside part and went towards the keeper after brushing the thigh pads. Saha stayed low to gather it but didn't collect it in three attempts. He kept juggling and in the end gobbled it with a forward dive. Here’s the video:Superman Saha 🤠https://t.co/Uid646itRz #BCCI

India on Sunday became the first team to enforce a follow-on on South Africa after 2008. With this, India also enforced the follow-on for the very first time against South Africa. The Virat-Kolhi led side enforced the follow-on on day four of the second Test match being played at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune. India had the lead of 326 runs in the first innings and as a result, skipper Kohli decided to ask South Africa to bat again. England was the last team that had enforced the follow-on on the Proteas.Juggler Saha🕺🕺https://t.co/ad7zaKShLr #BCCI
