‘One-Sided Love Story’: Social Media Reacts As Virat Kohli’s Off-Stump Woes Persist In IND vs AUS Brisbane Test

Social media was quick to react after Virat Kohli’s struggle with wide deliveries continued in the Brisbane Test, as he fell for just three runs to Josh Hazlewood.

Virat Kohli's ongoing Test batting woes persisted as he fell to a familiar mode of dismissal, edging a delivery outside the off-stump behind the stumps, a pattern he has struggled with in recent times. In the ongoing India vs Australia 3rd Test of BGT at The Gabba, Brisbane, it was another case of the same old problem. Kohli chased a wide delivery from Josh Hazlewood in the first innings, ultimately giving a straightforward catch to wicketkeeper Alex Carey and getting out cheaply.

Kohli was dismissed for just three runs by Hazlewood, leaving India struggling at 22/3 in 7.3 overs, before an early lunch was called after a rain delay. This wicket added further pressure on the Indian batting lineup, which had already lost openers Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill to Mitchell Starc. It also highlighted a recurring weakness in Kohli's game.
