Happy Birthday Virat Kohli: Virat Kohli, the star Indian batter is celebrating his 36th birthday on Tuesday (November 5). The last few months has been full of ups and downs for the Indian batter. While he was the leading run-scorer in the IPL, he was struggling for runs in the entire ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 before emerging as the Player of the Match in the final which India won, top-scoring for the Indian team.

However, for what he has done over the years of his illustrious, Kohli is already regarded as one of the all-time greats. Here is a look at 8 records held by Kohli which might just be impossible to break.

Most ODI Hundreds

When Sachin Tendulkar retired with 49 One Day International (ODI) hundreds, not many thought that it could ever be surpassed. However, Virat Kohli showed the world that it was possible and he already has 50 One Day International tons to his name. It would be hard for anyone to come near that number at least in the near future.

India's Most Successful Test Captain

Kohli is India's most successful Test captain. He led India in 68 Test matches, winning 40 of them. Only three captains in the world has won more Test matches as captain than Kohli.

Fastest To 8000, 9000, 10000, 11000, 12000, 13000 ODI Runs

Virat Kohli is one of the greatest ODI batters. If that statement needs any evidence- how is the following for a fact- Kohli is the fastest to 8000, 9000, 10000, 11000 and 12000 one day runs. Only five other batters in the history of cricket have more than 12000 runs with Kohli approaching the 14000 mark.

Most Player Of The Series Awards

Kohli has won a total of 21 Player Of The Series awards in his career. Sachin Tendulkar comes second with 20 wins while Shakib Al Hasan has 17 such awards in his career. No other active player has won more than 12 awards.

Most Runs In Single Edition Of ODI World Cup

Kohli scored 765 runs in 2023 edition of ODI World Cup and set a new record for the most runs in a single edition of an ODI World Cup, a record that might just be out of reach for any other batter.

Only Player To WIn Player Of The Tournament In Both T20 And ODI World Cups
