Team India Ask BCCI To Not Book Night Flights After 11 Pm Take Off Gets Delayed By 4 Hours: Report
IND vs WI: As per a media report, the team had to leave their team hotel at 08:40 pm but reached their destination airport only by 05:00 am.
After the Indian cricket team registered a 1-0 win in the two-match Test series they will now be gearing up for the ODI leg of the tour beginning on July 27 (Monday). However, before the match, it is being learnt that members of the Rohit Sharma-led side were not too pleased with the travel plans from Trinidad to Barbados after the second Test match. They have reportedly requested the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to not book any further night flights. Their request comes after their flight, scheduled to take off at 11 pm from Trinidad, was delayed by 4 hours with the side reaching their scheduled destination only by 5 am.
The same has been claimed in a report by The Indian Express. The media report further claims that the Indian team management has requested for better planning when they travel further in the series and have shared their preference of flying in the morning instead of late night.
"They had left the hotel by 8:40 pm for the airport and had to wait for a long time at the airport. The team management has requested us to book a morning flight instead of late night flights as players want some rest post game. The BCCI has agreed to it and is planning to revise the next schedule," a source in the BCCI told the publication.

The delay in flight has consequentlty led to a request from some of the players to take a day off from practice in Barbados.
It is pertinent to note that Indian cricket team is set to participate in two One Day Internationals (ODIs) in Bridgetown, Barbados, on July 27 and 29. Following these matches, they will return to Trinidad to play their scheduled third ODI on August 1. Post the conclusion of the ODI series, Hardik Pandya-led India will lock horns against West Indies in a five-match T20I series.
