T20 World Cup: Suryakumar Yadav To Be Rested In IND Vs NZ Warm-UP Match, Rishabh Pant To Play
Mohammed Shami has not played a single T20 International game for team India since the last edition of the T20 World Cup.
India’s star batter Suryakumar Yadav is likely to be rested in the warm-up match against New Zealand. He has been performing consistently in the T20I format. Ahead of the India-Pakistan clash, the Indian team management wants to try their other players.
India beat Australia in a warm-up match at Gabba's Brisbane on Monday. After losing the toss, team India, batting first, set a target of 187 runs for Australia to win. KL Rahul (33-ball 53) and Suryakumar Yadav (33-ball 50) scored half-centuries for India. Kane Richardson bagged the maximum four wickets for Australia. Captain Aaron Finch emerged as the star performer for his team, scoring 76 runs off 54 balls. In the end, Australia was bundled out for 180 runs in 20 overs.
In order to avoid any more injuries, team India wants Surya to take a rest so that he can take part in much-awaited India vs Pakistan match. The Indian team can play Deepak Hooda or Pant in place of Suryakumar Yadav.
