T20 World Cup: England faced the first defeat of their campaign in their last Group stage game against South Africa. Despite winning the match by 10 runs, Temba Bavuma's team failed to qualify for the semi-final of the tournament.
Australia qualifies instead from Group 1 along with England. Earlier on Saturday, Australia had defeated West Indies comprehensively, thus leaving less space for South Africa to qualify.
The Proteas put up a fighting total of 189 runs, which meant that they had to stop England for or less than 131 runs to qualify. England came out to bat in a blazing manner and crossed the 131 mark easily. South Africa was out of the tournament by the 15th over, but still, they were desperate for a win.

Kagiso Rabada's last over hattrick claimed the wickets of Woakes, Morgan, and Jordan to seal the match for the Proteas. This ended South Africa's campaign despite securing four wins out of five.
