Sourav Ganguly Health Update: Doctors Say BCCI Chief's 'Vital Parameters Stable, No Change Since His Last Hospitalization'

Sourav Ganguly Health Update: Ganguly had undergone an angioplasty after suffering a mild heart attack earlier and was later discharged on January 7. The 48-year-old Ganguly had suffered a blackout while exercising at his personal gym last month when he was taken to the hospital.

Hours after being taken to the hospital, Apollo hospital staff in Kolkata said in a statement that Sourav Ganguly's vital parameters are stable. 

"Sourav Ganguly has come for a checkup of his cardiac condition. There is no change in his parameters since his last hospitalization & his vital parameters are stable," the doctors said, as reported by news agency ANI.

The former Indian cricket team captain and president of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Sourav Ganguly was taken to the Apollo hospital in Kolkata on Wednesday after he complained of chest pain.  Ganguly was rushed to the Apollo Hospital after he complained of uneasiness on Tuesday night and experienced mind chest pain on Wednesday according to reports. The 48-year-old has been undergoing treatment at his home since he was discharged from the Woodlands Hospital following a mild heart attack earlier this month.

Ganguly had suffered a blackout while exercising at his personal gym last month when he was taken to the hospital. The cricket legend was detected with three blocked coronary arteries, following which a stent was inserted in one to remove the blockage.

A 9-member doctor's team was formed who decided that Ganguly doesn't need any further angioplasty for the remaining blockages in his coronary arteries.

Dr. Rupali Basu of the Woodland Hospitals had said that Ganguly would be able to resume his normal life in two to three weeks once the remining two arteries are revascularised. Although, was discharged on January 7 whenhe had said that he was feeling okay. He was also tested Corona negative.
