Crack The Connection: NYT Connections Hints & Answers For Today (March 28)

Connections, a daily puzzle from The New York Times (which also owns Wordle), tests players on their ability to categorise words based on a common theme.

NYT Connections Answer Today: If today's NYT Connections puzzle has you scratching your head, don’t worry — you’re not alone. The brain-teasing word game can be a fun challenge, but sometimes, a little nudge in the right direction helps keep the daily streak alive. Whether you need a slight hint or the full set of answers, we’ve got you covered.

How NYT Connections Works

Connections, a daily puzzle from The New York Times (which also owns Wordle), tests players on their ability to categorise words based on a common theme. You’re given 16 words and must group them into four sets of four, each with a shared connection. But beware — some words are designed to mislead you with tricky red herrings.

Success requires logical thinking, pattern recognition, and sometimes, a bit of luck. Make four incorrect guesses, and the puzzle ends, revealing the correct answers. Each set is also color-coded to indicate difficulty: Yellow (easiest), Green (moderate), Blue (challenging), and Purple (most difficult).

Hints for Friday, March 28

If you're looking for a small push in the right direction, here are today’s hints:

  • Yellow: Consider different ways to throw something.
  • Green: These words relate to being positioned on both sides.
  • Blue: Think of something associated with a uniform.
  • Purple: A single word can follow each term in this set.

For extra guidance:

  • Each category (except the hardest one) includes at least two words that start with the same letter.
  • Every set contains at least one word beginning with 'S'.
