What Crypto Exchanges Are Saying About Current Market Scenario

Edul Patel, CEO and co-founder, Mudrex told ABP Live, “Bitcoin bounced back to $87,600 after briefly taking support at $85,900 as investors booked profits at higher levels. Meanwhile, Ethereum remains under pressure, with exchange withdrawals hitting a seven-month low, signaling potential selling intent. Investors should keep an eye on U.S. jobless claims and GDP data due later today, as they could further influence the market sentiment. That said, if strong buying pressure pushes Bitcoin toward $90,000, a breakout could trigger a series of liquidations, fueling a rally to new highs. BTC faces its next major resistance at $89,500.”

CoinSwitch Markets Desk noted, “The financial markets experienced notable movements influenced by geopolitical developments and investor sentiment. Bitcoin (BTC) traded at approximately $86,838, marking a 0.94% decline from the previous close. S&P 500 closed at 5,693.31, reflecting a 0.3% decrease from the previous day. The downturn in major U.S. stock indices was primarily attributed to President Donald Trump's announcement of a 25% tariff on imported automobiles, aiming to encourage domestic manufacturing. This policy shift led to significant declines in automotive stocks, with General Motors experiencing a notable drop.”

Avinash Shekhar, Co-founder & CEO, Pi42, said, “The crypto market is showing bullish indications as key technical trends and whale action predict potential price jumps. Dogecoin's cup-and-handle chart formation suggests a possible breakout to the upside, and Bitcoin whales putting an end to their selling spree indicates increasing accumulation. Additionally, Bitcoin's enormous $16.5 billion options expiry might push prices skyrocketing over $90K, fueled by investors optimism and confidence. Investors are eagerly anticipating Bitcoin to trade again above the psychological barrier of $100,000.”

Sathvik Vishwanath, CEO and co-founder of Unocoin, said, “Bitcoin’s struggle to surpass $90,000 is tied to tightening liquidity, with daily on-chain transfer volumes dropping 47% to $5.2 billion and active addresses falling 18% since November 2024. Futures market activity has also cooled, with open interest down 24% and funding rates softening. This deleveraging, coupled with only 2.5% of supply moving in profit, has limited buy-side strength. Glassnode data shows weak new demand and supply clustering around $100K-$108K, with macro uncertainty discouraging fresh investment.”

Shivam Thakral, CEO of BuyUcoin, said, “In the last 24 hours, Ethereum has made significant strides with the successful completion of the Pectra upgrade on the Hoodi testnet. This milestone marks a pivotal moment as developers prepare for the highly anticipated mainnet launch. As Ethereum continues to outperform many altcoins, there is growing sentiment that ETH remains undervalued despite recent price fluctuations. The upcoming Pectra upgrade promises to enhance scalability and reduce transaction costs, positioning Ethereum for broader adoption and improved efficiency in decentralized applications.”

CoinDCX Research Team noted, “As the markets are heading towards the end of the month, the volume and volatility have dropped, due to which the tokens remain consolidated within a narrow range. Bitcoin dropped below $87,000, while Ethereum also lost support at $2000. While the BTC ETFs continue to remain in green, ETH ETFs are constantly recording negative inflows, raising concerns for the Ethereum price rally in the short term. No major drop is seen in the market capitalization and volume, which keeps bullish hopes elevated.”
