BCCI President Sourav Ganguly Tests Covid Positive, Admitted To Kolkata's Woodlands Hospital
BCCI President Sourav Ganguly is Covid-19 positive.
Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) President Sourav Ganguly has tested positive for Covid-19. It is understood that the Corona virus test was done on Monday night. It is also understood that Ganguly is 'currently stable'.
Meanwhile, the former Indian captain is admitted to Woodlands Hospital in Kolkata. The viral load of Ganguly is 19.5. It is also understood that Ganguly is currently in isolation. His blood samples will be sent genome sequencing to check if he has contracted the Omicron variant or not.
"He was taken to Woodlands Nursing Home last night. He has been given medication and is currently stable," a BCCI source told PTI.

In January 2021, Ganguly faced a cardiac arrest and had to be admitted to the same hospital. Sourav Ganguly suffered a heart attack following which he was admitted to a hospital in Kolkata. Ganguly had undergone angioplasty and was stable within days.

The former Indian captain has been traveling a lot in the past few months and has been taking part in many media interactions.
There has been a dramatic rise in the Covid-19 cases in the country since the past week or so. Kolkata also reported 544 cases on Sunday.
