Shubman Gill vs Yashasvi Jaiswal: Travis Head Names His Pick For India's Next Cricket Star
With a bright future ahead, Australia's Travis Head has named one young talent as the future superstar of Indian cricket.
In the last year and a half, Australian opener Travis Head has cemented his place as one of the most dangerous batters in international cricket. His exceptional form across all formats—Test, ODI, and T20—has made him a dominant force, consistently troubling opposition bowlers with his powerful "hard-hitting" performances.
The 30-year-old was instrumental in Australia's triumphs in 2023 World Test Championship and ODI World Cup final. He recently surpassed Suryakumar Yadav to claim the top spot as No. 1 T20 batter.

Australian men's team is currently in England for a white-ball series and will then host Pakistan for a T20 and ODI series. After that, they will turn their attention back to Test cricket, as they prepare to host India, reigning Border-Gavaskar Trophy champions, for an eagerly awaited five-match Test series.
Meanwhile, with a bright future ahead, Head has named one young talent as the future superstar of Indian cricket.
On a Star Sports show, Australian players were asked to identify the next superstar of Indian cricket, and two names consistently emerged: Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill. When Travis Head was asked for his opinion, he confidently named Shubman Gill as India's future cricketing superstar.
Not only Travis Head but also other prominent Australian cricketers were asked to name their pick for India's next cricketing superstar, with all of them choosing either Yashasvi Jaiswal or Shubman Gill.

Nathan Lyon, Steve Smith, Marnus Labuschagne and Mitchell Starc all praised Jaiswal's talent. Meanwhile, Cameron Green and Travis Head endorsed Shubman Gill, who is currently India's vice-captain in ODIs and T20Is, as a future leader for the 'Men in Blue'.
Both Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal will make their returns to cricketing action as India hosts Bangladesh for a two-match Test series, starting September 19 in Chennai, with the second and final Test set to be played in Kanpur.
