Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli Lead Indian Cricket Fraternity In Extending New Year Wishes

The senior Indian men's cricket team will host Sri Lanka for a white-ball series and the women's cricket team will participate in a tri-series involving South Africa and West Indies.

As the world welcomes New Year 2023, the Indian Cricket Fraternity took to social media to extend their wishes for fans on social media. "Knock knock... who’s there?  It’s 2023! 😃💫✨ #HappyNewYear," cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar wrote on Twitter. 



Meanwhile, Indian batting stalwart Virat Kohli also shared an Instagram story wishing his friends, family and followers a happy New Year.

"Wishing you and all your loved one's health and happiness in 2023. May God bless you to achieve all you want and find lasting love and blessings . #HappyNewYear," wrote former India cricketer Virender Sehwag.

"Wishing you all a Happy New Year! 🎉," India's highest wicket-taker in Test matches Anil Kumble shared on Twitter.



The head of the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore, VVX Laxman, also extending New Year Greetings. "May God bless you all with joy, health, success, and prosperity. May the Almighty shower you with love and blessings so that the upcoming year is the best one yet for you. Wishing you a very happy 2023," he wrote.

Among the current crop of cricketers, Cheteshwar Pujara, Hardik Pandya, Mohammed Shami all shared messages on social media.

"Geared up for the season! Happy 2023! Wish you all a year filled with joy, success, and the best of health. Have a blessed year everyone! #HappyNewYear," wrote Pujara.

"Wishing you a safe, prosperous and Happy new year ❤️. Hope everybody has a great 2023 👊🥳," tweeted Hardik.

"New Year is a perfect time to reflect upon yesterday’s achievements and look forward to unlimited opportunities ahead. Here’s wishing everyone a Happy 2023. #happynewyear #ms11 #mdshami11 #mdshami #cricket #2023 #happynewyear2023," Shami stated.

Cricket Legend Yuvraj Singh also shared New Year Greetings.

"As the curtains close on 2022, here’s wishing you all love, good health and success for the New Year. May we all dance with joy and take every moment in our stride to make it an epic year! Lots of love ❤️," he shared on December 31.

From the women cricketing sphere, Mithali Raj and Jhulan Goswami led the Indian cricket fraternity is welcoming the new year.

"May 2023 bring you and your loved ones heaps of joy, good health and plenty of happiness. Wishing everyone a very happy New Year!#HappyNewYear #Welcome2023," shared Mithali.
