SA20 2024: Quinton De Kock created one of the most absurd and weirdest ways of getting dismissed after getting caught and bowled by Bjorn Fortuin in the SA20 2024 fixture between Durban Super Giants and Paarl Royals. The league fixture held at the Kingsmead Stadium in Durban on Sunday, January 28 saw the live crowd became a subject to witness the moment worthy of spectacle during the first innings of the match when Quinton De Kock came in for departing Tony De Zorzi in the 2nd over and was batting on an individual score of 8 in the 4th over.
The recently internationally retired left-handed batsman from South Africa tried to log sweep the left-arm off spinner Bjorn Fortuin but failed in his attempt as his early swing led him to hit the toe-end of his bat on the ball and much to the bizarre surprise to everyone, the ball went straight to Fortuin who didn't even flinch and grabbed the ball to complete the catch off his own bowling.
A dismissal so bizarre, even the 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐝 😕#DSGvPR #Betway #SA20 #WelcomeToIncredible pic.twitter.com/dw8NUTkYfm

SA20 2024: Durban Super Giants Vs Paarl Royals - Match Report
The fixture between Durban Super Giants and Paarl Royals was the top of the table clash and was expected to be a crunch affair for both the sides as they are aiming to finish on summit of the table to safeguard themselves from featuring in the Eliminator stage of knockout phase of SA20.
Electing to bat first, the Super Giants showed immense intent as they thwarted the Paarl Royals' bowling attacking by registering a way above par-score of 208 on a difficult tracks on the banks of Matthew Breetzke's 78 and 'world class' Heinrich Klassen's 50 off 17 balls.
The Paarl Royals never gained a psychological advantage over DSG and were a subject to falter in a pecking order as Afghanistan's mystery left-arm spinner Noor Ahmed sent them packing in the dressing room with an impressive five-wicket haul, as Super Giants won by a mammoth 125 runs.
