India Not Happy With 'Average' Pratice Facilities: The ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 is all set to get underway on June 2 (as per the Indian Standard Time). While India are all set to play their first match of the tournament on June 5 in which they are slated to play against Ireland in New York, it has been learnt that the Indian cricket team is not too pleased with the training facilities provided to them in Cantiague Park.
A report carried by News18 claims that Team India's head coach Rahul Dravid is not happy at all with the practice facilities provided to them ahead of their campaign opener. Notably, Rohit Sharma & Co. had their first net session on Wednesday afternoon (May 29). During this session, the team used three of the six drop-in pitches that were available at this facility. However, the team is concerned with the "makeshift" nature of almost eveything on offer for practice.
"Everything is makeshift – from pitches to other facilities. Safe to say everything is very average in nature. The team has raised their concerns," the report carried by the aforementioned publication quoted source close to the development as saying.
