Ravi Shastri is renowned not just in India but all around the world for his trademark enthusiastic commentary and hosting of cricket matches. However, he left Indian captain Rohit Sharma in stitches while conducting the toss in his usual style for the ongoing India vs Australia 2nd Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) 2024-25 at the Adelaide Oval on December 6 (Friday). The video of the same is making rounds on social media.

As the captains of both teams gathered at the center for the toss, Ravi Shastri, in his trademark exuberant style, hyped up the occasion with his heavy voice, narrating the rich history of Adelaide and its legendary cricketers before proceeding with the formalities.

Rohit Sharma found the moment amusing and broke into laughter, which soon caught Pat Cummins' attention, prompting him to grin as well, marking a lighthearted and entertaining moment ahead of the IND vs AUS Test.

“Magnificent Adelaide Oval. Easily one of the prettiest grounds in the world. We (are) in the city of Churchills, home to Bradman, the Chappell’s and of course the iconic giant scoreboard right out of the heritage since 1911. It’s the pink-ball Test, the second in the Test series between India and Australia and it’s coming up to the toss time,” said Ravi Shastri during the toss, that had Rohit and Cummins grinnings.
