Team India's star wicket-keeper batter Rishabh Pant, who survived a life-threatening car accident in December last year, is making a quick recovery while working on rehabilitation. Meanwhile, Pant's India teammate Shikhar Dhawan recently reunited with him at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru. The Punjab Kings captain took to Instagram to share a picture from their meeting. Both Pant and Dhawan are from Delhi and share a close bond. Apart from sharing the dressing room for the national team, the duo were teammates In IPL for Delhi Capitals. Pant hasn't played any cricket ever since his near-fatal car crash in December last year. The Delhi Capitals star was ruled out of IPL 2023 and in his absence, Aussie star opener David Warner was asked to lead the franchise this season. In Pant's absence, Delhi Capitals had possibly their worst season ever. DC suffered some thrashing losses in this year's IPL. They started the tournament with five consecutive losses in their first 5 games and were the first team that got knocked out in the league stage. Though Pant is recovering at a good pace, but he is expected to miss Asia Cup 2023 and ODI World Cup 2023 in India as well.
Talking about Shikhar Dhawan, he led Punjab Kings in IPL 2023 and had a phenomenal outing with the bat, scoring 373 runs in 11 IPL games. PBKS finished their IPL 2023 campaign at eight position in 10-team league stage standings after just six wins out of their 14 matches.
