Parvez rasool set to play in Dhaka Premier League

New Delhi: Indian spinner Parvez rasool will be plying his trade in the Dhaka Premier league. Rasool has been roped in by the Gazi Group of cricketers for the upcoming season

Rasool was a part of the IPL draft for 2017 but he failed to attract any IPL franchise. The India international was still hopeful for a chance after R Ashwin was ruled out from the tournament but RPS decided to call up Washington Sundar as replacement, forcing Rasool to opt for Dhaka Premier league

The 28-year-old cricketer was a part of Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2016 season but was released ahead of 2017 IPL auctions.

Parvez has obtained the NOC (No objection certificate) from BCCI and is expected to travel to Bangaldesh. He will provide his services to the Gazi Group till May 30 2017.

“It was decision made purely on cricket perspective. I am a player and want to play at highest level wherever I get opportunity. Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League is top 50-Over cricket event of Bangladesh. I have already got NOC from BCCI and currently I am on way to Dhaka,” Parvez told Greater Kashmir

Rasool made his India debut on 15 June 2014
