PAK vs ENG ,T20 World Cup: Rain Might Play A Crucial Role In Melbourne

There are chances that rain will play spoilsport in England vs Pakistan clash in Melbourne. 

New Delhi: The T20 World Cup final will witness England locking horns against Pakistan on Sunday at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Both teams are fully prepared and will be looking to seal the title but their plans might get plagued by rain. There are chances that rain will play spoilsport in Melbourne. 

"Cloudy. Very high (near 100%) chance of showers developing during the late morning and afternoon. The chance of a thunderstorm, possibly severe. Winds northerly 25 to 35 km/h tending north to northwesterly 15 to 20 km/h in the evening then becoming light in the late evening," predicted the Bureau of Meteorology.

Also, the weather forecast for the reserve day which is November 14 is also unpleasant. 

"Cloudy. Very high (near 100% ) chance of showers, becoming less likely in the evening. The chance of a thunderstorm. Winds northwesterly at 15 to 25 km/h turning west to southwesterly at 25 to 35 km/h in the late morning and early afternoon," stated the Bureau of Meteorology.

The official release from ICC read, “The Event Technical Committee (ETC) has increased the provision of additional playing time on the reserve day to four hours from the original provision of two hours (clause 13.7.3 of the Playing Conditions), in case more time is required to complete the match and get a result”.

"Only if the minimum number of overs necessary to constitute a match cannot be bowled on Sunday will the match go into the reserve day. Play on the reserve day will begin at 15h00 (9:30AM IST) and would be a continuation of play from the scheduled match day," it added.
