Win over Oman helped England record their biggest win in T20Is, with 101 balls to spare. This surpasses their previous record of a win with 70 balls to spare against the West Indies in T20 World Cup 2021.

With this win, England's net run rate has surged to +3.081, keeping their hopes of reaching the Super 8 stage alive. To qualify for the Super 8s, England must defeat Namibia in their final group match. Additionally, they need Australia to defeat Scotland.

England won the toss and opted to bowl first. Oman struggled against England's bowling attack and were dismissed for a mere 47 runs in 13.2 overs. Shoaib Khan top-scored for Oman with 11 runs, but none of their batters managed to reach double figures during the innings.

Spinner Adil Rashid led England's bowling attack superbly, taking 4 wickets, while Jofra Archer and Mark Wood contributed with 3 wickets each.

England chased down the required 48-run target in just 19 balls to seal the historic win. Opener Phil Salt contributed 12 runs off 3 balls, while Jos Buttler scored a quickfire 24 runs from 8 balls. Jonny Bairstow added 8 runs and Will Jacks scored 5 runs before Buttler's explosive batting concluded the match. Buttler's flurry of boundaries — 4, 0, 4, 4, 6, 4 — off Bilal Khan's over propelled England to 50/2 in just 3.1 overs.

For Oman, Bilal Khan and Kaleemullah each took one wicket. With this defeat, Oman's journey in the T20 World Cup has come to an end.
