Mohammed Shami last featured in the 2023 World Cup where he reportedly participated despite an ankle issue and has been sidelined from action since the tournament. Despite being benched for four games, the senior pacer emerged as the highest wicket-taker in the competition, dismissing 24 batsmen in just seven matches.
