Pakistan wicket-keeper and opening batsman, Mohammed Rizwan was in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for a couple of days, ahead of the T20 World Cup Semi-final against Australia. Former cricketer, Shoaib Akhtar shared this information along with a picture of Mohammed Rizwan.
Akhtar even called Rizwan a 'Hero'! Even though Pakistan lost to Australia, Rizwan's innings of 67 runs almost proved to be a match-winning one.
This news was also confirmed by Cricket Australia's official Communication handle.

"Can you imagine this guy played for his country today & gave his best. He was in the hospital last two days," said Shoaib Akhtar in a tweet. Matthew Hayden, Pakistan team's coach called Rizwan a 'warrior'.
"Details from within the Pakistan camp revealed Rizwan had fallen ill on Tuesday and spent two nights in a Dubai ICU bed," read a report on Cricket.com.au.
"Mohammad Rizwan developed a severe chest infection on 9th of November after which he was admitted to the hospital," Pakistan's team doctor Najeebullah Soomro said.
"We can see his great determination and tenacity that shows his spirit of performing for the country. And we can see how he performed today," he added.
