3-time champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) registered a thumping 10 wicket win over Kings Eleven Punjab (KXIP) in Game 18 on the IPL 2020 played at Dubai and brought their derailed campaign in season 13 of the T20 league back on track. CSK who started off their IPL 13 campaign with a win over defending champions Mumbai Indians succumbed to three straight losses before coming back strongly and securing a clinical victory overs KXIP on Sunday (Oct 4). After the CSK bowlers did well to pull back KXIP at the death and restrict them to 179, openers Faf Du Plessis and Shane Watson did not break too much sweat to help the Yellow Army chase down the target by registering a mammoth opening stand. The dominant win for CSK was a morale booster not only for Dhoni and Co. but also brought back smiles on the faces of the die hard Whistle Poddu fans who seemed to be a bit dejected after their team's lackluster start to the tournament.
