According to sources, e-commerce giants Amazon are front runners to pick up the title rights while telecom giant Jio, and soft drink giant Coca Cola are also in the race. Interestingly, Team India's jersey sponsor Byju is also one of the interested parties.
However, the race to become a new title sponsor does not automatically translate into big bucks for the BCCI. With such a short span of time and left vulnerable economically, the board is expected to be seeking around 250 to 300 crores only as opposed.to original deal of Rs 440 crores per.year with Vivo.
This might still be a winning proposition for BCCI because, according to sources, Vivo went into talks with the board and citing present economic recession and anti-Chinese sentiment, offered to pay only around 200cr for this year -- an offer that was rejected and forced the telecom company to evoke exit clauses.

There is another scenario as well that the board might explore -- by offering joint title sponsorship rights to non competing organisations, thus reducing the burden on the bidders and also their loss of revenue.
Depending on talks with the bidder, BCCI officials may later decide to terminate the bid with Vivo and seek a percentage home into the new IPL title deal.
