IPL 2019: Unchanged Delhi opt to bowl against Virat-led RCB

Coming to the toss, Delhi skipper Shreyas Iyer won the toss and decided to bowl first against Virat-led Bangalore. Both the teams decided to play with unchanged squads from their previous games

After five straight losses in this edition, Virat-led RCB will hope to end their losing streak and attain their first win when they meet Delhi Capitals in the IPL at Bengaluru, Sunday. RCB have to win almost all their remaining games to keep their chances alive in the league. Virat Kohli has got some classy batsmen in his side that can keep the team  from misfiring regularly, but its the bowling department that has been a headache for RCB skipper and somehow  Bangalore's bowling problems remains incurable, no matter what combination Virat  goes with. Delhi is also not having the best of time , as they have suffered a couple of loses in a row, the latest being a frustrating loss at home against Hyderabad. After making a positive start with a win against three-time champions Mumbai Indians, their journey has been uncomfortable, having lost three matches. Coming to the toss, Delhi skipper Shreyas Iyer won the toss and decided to bowl first against Virat-led Bangalore. Both the teams decided to play with unchanged squads from their previous games. After winning the toss Shreyas Iyer said," We would bowl first. Some grass on the surface, should be a good batting surface. Always difficult to assess the conditions in the afternoon, we have made no changes, want to stick to a consistent line-up. That will give some confidence to the players as well." Desperate to get his first win this season, skipper Kohli looked calm and  said that he was too looking to field first as the ball comes on to the bat nicely. "We were looking to bowl first as well. We needed to show some composure in the last few overs, need to be brave while executing it's all about enjoying your performance. We are playing the same team, same batting order", said Kohli. Teams: Royal Challengers Bangalore (Playing XI): Parthiv Patel(w), Virat Kohli(c), AB de Villiers, Marcus Stoinis, Moeen Ali, Akshdeep Nath, Pawan Negi, Tim Southee, Navdeep Saini, Yuzvendra Chahal, Mohammed Siraj Delhi Capitals (Playing XI): Prithvi Shaw, Shikhar Dhawan, Shreyas Iyer(c), Rishabh Pant(w), Rahul Tewatia, Colin Ingram, Chris Morris, Axar Patel, Kagiso Rabada, Ishant Sharma, Sandeep Lamichhane
