India vs West Indies 2023: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced India's ODI and Test squads for India tour West Indies 2023. While the Indian selectors dropped several big names like Cheteshwar Pujara and Umesh Yadav, talented youngsters like Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ruturaj Gaikwad were rewarded with well-deserved call-ups. Sadly, there wasn't a place for Mumbai batter Sarfaraz Khan. The in-form right-hander has been scoring a lot of runs in the domestic circuit with sheer consistency and is in contention for a call-up for almost a year now. Notably, his exclusion angered fans on social media as they made sure to trend 'Sarfaraz Khan' on Twitter.

Sarfaraz Khan's record in domestic cricket
Sarfaraz Khan has so far scored 3,505 runs in first class cricket in 54 innings of 37 matches at an average of 79 with help of 13 centuries and 9 half-centuries. In List-A cricket, the wicket-keeper batter has so far scored 469 runs in 26 matches at an average of 39, including two centuries. Despite these records, Sarfaraz Khan is constantly being ignored by team India's selectors.
