The wicket-keeper batsman from Kerala smashed Jofra Archer for two sixes and a four, before handing a catch to the same guy he smashed an over before.
Tilak Varma and Abhishek Sharma carried from the score of 21/1 after 2 overs to 95/1 after 6 overs, as they registered 74 runs in the next 4 overs.
The preys to their brutal hitting were the likes of Jofra Archer (18 runs in 3rd over); Mark Wood (16 runs in 4th over); Jamie Overton (25 runs in 5th over); and Liam Livingstone (15 runs in 6th over).
The duo registered a partnership of 115 runs inside just 43 deliveries, before Tilak Varma departed for 24 off 15 balls at the hands of Brydon Carse.
